Well made hitch pin. This is the second time I have bought from etrailer.com. both experiences were great.Their service is second to none.

by:

Everything that I have ordered from etrailer have been really great products.

by:

Does just what I expected. Experience with etrailer was great. Very nice personal touches.

by:

Looks good so far. It’s a Christmas gift so won’t put it together til then but looks nice. It was recommended as one that will fit our odd size hitch receiver so hope it works.

by:

Everything as advertised. Good quality and very quick shipping. I am very pleased.
Thanks

by:

It's a pin! nothing too crazy has been doing the job for a light duty trailer no problem. I did manage to bend the end of the pin on my first one somehow but I think it was due to a drop/getting stepped on etc. Still functions well

by:

The whole reason you shop at etrailer in the first place - great selection, fair price and prompt shipping. It really couldn't be any easier.

by:

I received the order within two days. My son installed the Hitch this past weekend with no problems.
Your service was excellent and your sales person was wonderful. He guided me through what I was looking for and answered all my questions with patience.

by:

It's a hitch pin...not alot to say about it. It works. eTrailer is a great source for all of your trailering needs. I've ordered before and will again!

by:

I used this pin to install a 1,5 inch to 2 inch receiver adaptor. Appears to be good quality, didn't rattle and fit snugly.

by:

Good price. Bought an extra one since I didn't know it was already included in the trailer hitch purchase. Not sure if I just missed it in the description or it wasn't mentioned. Overall very happy with purchase and delivery speed.

by:

The retaining pin fits a Class I hitch, as promised, although the clip looks delicate.
The clip will be easy to take on and off, but I wish that there were a more secure type so I didn't have to worry about it on the road.

by:

Everything I needed all the way down to the clips and cost effective. 52 yr. old grandma, and I was able to install it myself. Video on installation was helpful and gave me confidence to attempt the job myself.Instructions were very user friendly. etrailer.com all the way.
Thanks guys!

by:

Just what I needed to use my 2 inch bike rack on my 1&1/4 inch hitch.Very impressed with the heavy duty makeup of the product. I,m sure it will last longer than I will.

by:

Clip interferes with safety chain hooks. Different size clips should be provided.

by:

Okay so instillation was quite simple once I got the wires ran. So I had to remove the rear bumper for instillation of the wires. In the video it made it seem that it would be a quick instillation. 4-5 hours I spent intotal to install. It was about 3 hours with removal of the rear cover. It was so much easier taking off the bumper then trying to feed it like they showed.

by:

It worked great. Leveled out the trailer perfect. Thanks again for your help, good product, and prompt delivery.

We just wanted to tell you how much we appreciated your customer service. We were called Sunday evening, the day after Christmas, and told that the clip my husband had ordered wouldn't work with the other parts.
#1 We were surprised that anyone would be working the day after Christmas on a Sunday evening.
#2 A real person was looking at the order and realized the components ordered wouldn't work together.
#3 The real person called and corrected the ordered parts.
In these days of having to work our way through phone keyboard selections and live chat with computers, it was refreshing to have an actual person catch the problem ahead of sending us an unworkable element, calling us about it, and correcting the problem. We're leaving for FL for the winter on Friday and are planning on taking our bikes. The wrong part would have made our hitch unusable, thus forcing us to leave the bikes at home. With no time to order and receive the correct part, your employee helped to make our winter more enjoyable. Thank you so much.

by:

Good quality, but it turns out its too big for the cargo basket and 1 1/4 trailer hitch I had installed.

by:

I have bought two trailer hitches and a cargo carrier. And, have been extremely pleased with all three. They are easy to install and high quality products.

by:

Hitch looks good, Haven't used it yet but am sure it will be fine. However, I ordered 2 different sizes of pins. Was supposed to get 1 small pin (1/2") for the 1-1/4"x 1-1/4" part of the hitch and 1 large (5/8") pin for the 2"x 2" part of the hitch. What I got were 2 large (5/8") pins.

by:

All the parts ordered are of great quality and fit properly. Packaging needs work. The original box was ripped open and had been taped back together by the shipper(UPS). The hitch was still secure but the tow bar was loose and the pin and clip were missing. etrailer sent another pin and clip.
In the future possibly adding some fiber tape would lessen the chance of boxes being mangled.

E-Trailer fits like a glove and is so easy to install. Thanks

The hitch adapter and 90 degree mount solved my desire to mount my electric wench on my auto trailer replacing the manual wench. See photo.

The 2" sleeve would not come out of the existing 2" receiver so I used the hitch adapter to make the transition. The etrailer experts correctly told me there would be some play in this joint. However, it works here (as this is not for towing).

I also used the 90 degree mount upside down (also not an approved application). But again no towing is involved. I did need to drill a new hole in the receiver.

  • Can a 1-1/4 - 2 Adapter be Used to Safely Haul a Cargo Carrier with a 2015 Toyota Corolla
The concept of a hitch adapter like the Brophy # HTAD is a good idea in theory but the problem with using one of those with a 1-1/4" hitch, like part # C11265 or # 24913 for your 2015 Toyota Corolla, is that it will reduce the weight capacity of your trailer hitch by 50%. Since those trailer hitches have a tongue weight rating of 200 lbs this means that the tongue weight will be reduced to 100 lbs. If you were to use all of this for the 24x59 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18151 you would only...

Yes, we do have a hitch that will fit your 2008 Toyota Camry SE V6, but the item you selected, Curt Trailer Hitch, part # 12343, will not fit the SE model of the Camry. I would recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 36416, which is a Class II 1-1/4 Inch Hitch. • Can a 2009 Pontiac Vibe Safely Tow a 1,500 Pound Boat Trailer
Since you would be right at capacity I do recommend taking any measures feasible in lightening the load. That will make it that much easier on the vehicle. I do believe that properly equipped, the 2009 Pontiac Vibe will be fine towing the 1,500 pounds. Since you will not constantly be towing it up a steep ramp, and that aspect is only a small part of the journey, the Vibe should be just fine. For a trailer hitch, you can use # C12221 but it is for GT models. If you have a GT model then...

Part # P315 probably would not work with your hitch. My information shows that the only available hitches for your 2008 Kia Optima are Class I hitches and P139 is for Class II only. We do have another adapter that will work for a Class I hitch. It is part # HTAD and it will allow your Class I 1-1/4 hitch to accept 2 inch accessories. You will need part # PC2 to hold the adapter into your hitch, and if you do not already have one, part # PC3 to hold your bike rack to the adapter. Please...

We have exactly what you need, although technically the adapter will not turn the Class I hitch into a Class II hitch, it will simply give your 2008 MazdaSPEED3 a 2" receiver. The Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver with 5" Rise # HT5R will convert your Mazda's Class I, 1-1/4" receiver into a 2" receiver and will also give you 5" of rise. • Should a Locking Hitch Pin be Purchased to Help Keep a Hitch Cover from Being Stolen
A trailer hitch cover like the Rubber Hitch Cover # 22281 is not one that can be locked, but since it is a common piece it really isn't in too much danger of being stolen. However, if you you are looking at a hitch cover that is a little more unique, like the part # HTCC11805, then I do recommend going with a locking hitch pin like part # e98880 as opposed to a typical pin and clip like part # PC3. This will help to deter theft of your cover. Please note that the lock and clip/pin numbers...
