Getting the trailer to sit just right behind your tow vehicle makes all the difference in stability and handling. This ball mount can be used in either the 2-3/8" rise or 3-5/8" drop position, so your trailer stays level and tracks straight. Sometimes you need a little extra clearance between the hitch and trailer coupler. With two separate pin holes, this mount measures 8-1/8" or 11-1/8" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole. That extra length helps with things like tailgates or rear accessories without needing an extension piece.
Whether it’s a loaded utility trailer or a small camper, strength is key. This steel ball mount is rated for a gross towing weight of 7,500 lbs and a tongue weight of 750 lbs. The fixed design keeps things sturdy and predictable, giving you peace of mind every time you hitch up.

I havent used the hitch hardware much but I like it. The tailgate is the star. I like it a lot and the open design makes parallel parking in the city so easy. I also get a lot of questions and nice comments about the look.

Hi Philip, Thanks for your feedback! I would recommend using the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Stabilizer, part # e99007 , to help get rid of the play in the hitch.

Hey Tim. We measure all of our parts in house and we find that measuring from the top of the ball platform is the most accurate. Curt measures a different way. Is there anything else I can do to help?

1 year later - use has formed the unit so it slides al the way in and out of the receiver smoothly. Coating on the unit is holding up well, it looks new, no cracking or flaking or rust showing through.
