Install your electric brake controller quickly and easily with this custom wiring adapter. Simply plug one end of the adapter into your brake controller and then plug the other end into the built-in harness beneath your Ram 2500's dash.

Note: To illuminate your vehicle and trailer brake lights when you activate the manual override on your brake controller, use in conjunction with the Tekonsha brake controller converter with 7-way adapter (30235-P - sold separately). Required for use in the state of California.
To install your electric brake controller you need to connect the wiring of the controller to your vehicle. Certain manufacturers offer pre-wired options, typically known as tow packages, wherein these wires are run for you from the dash to the trailer connector on the back of your vehicle. Often, a brake controller wiring harness is included with your tow package. This harness plugs into a port beneath your dash and connects to the four wires of the brake controller. If, however, you have a brake controller with a plug in place of the four loose wires, you can use the Tekonsha adapter.
This adapter requires no hardwiring. It is designed to plug directly into your electric brake controller for the simplest installation possible. Because there are no wires to connect, installation is not permanent. You can unplug and remove your brake controller at any time and securely stow it away.

Installed in my 2020 Gladiator and used the 3024P adapter(you must switch the black and blue wires!) it works perfect. Yes i cut a hole in my new truck but it is out of the way and you can easily access it.

Great product, it made installation of my brake controller much easier.
The ram wiring harness is a bit difficult to get to though. I dropped the panel covering the fuse box (it’s just two 7mm bolts.) and it made it alot easier to get to and unwrap.

Install was simple with provided factory match jumper. Total 10 mins to install on 2015 Ram 1500. Still need to configure settings otherwise purchase and install simple along with great price.

I purchased a new 2017 Ram 1500 and was looking for a break controller. My son recommended the Tekonsha Prodigy 2 . I found it on etrailer.com at a better than expected price and ordered the controller and the wiring harness. I received the item in four days. It was a breeze to install. Truly plug -and-play ! Set up was a snap and I like not having to level the device every time , as with my previous controller !

Just wanted to throw it out there for reference for any future searches. This was for installation on a 2020 RAM 1500 (DT) which did not have a factory tow package or brake controller installed. I reviewed the e-trailer installation video on a previous Gen RAM and it said the plugs would be right above the gas pedal. At first, I couldn’t find the OEM harness plugs; There weren't any plugs just hanging out in that area.
When I got my package yesterday, I decided to take another looksee.
This time I easily found it. Looking from under, I could see the two plugs snuggly taped together with black material, not electrical, tape. Looking up from my under dash position they were slightly to the left and up. If you have huge hands and forearms, it may take some positioning, and skin cuts, to get to. Luckily I don’t, but took a little finesse to get the tape off. Once I got that off, there was plenty of room to work and plug my adapter harness into.
The brake controller came with a mounting bracket and sheet screws to mount somewhere. Under our dash, there’s a metal dash screw right about the gas pedal that works perfect to mount the bracket. I put on a zip tie as well to make sure it was extra secure. Zip tied the extra slack of the OEM harness and adapter harness under the dash.
Very easy install.
Plug and play. Gotta love it! My 2017 Ram 1500 didnt come with a factory brake controller and I didnt want to spend a lung buying it and having it put in. I found a Primus iq second hand on the cheap and needed the wire harness to make it work. Installation was a breeze and it looks and works great. I saved big $$ and am very happy. Lori B made it happen for me. She was very nice and gave me her direct line when I needed to call back and had the wiring sent out asap. Very satisfied. Thanks Lori B!!
Made installation easy.
2015 ram 3500 truck.took all of like 10 min. To install and that's just taking my time.the 4 pin plug for the truck is just above gas petal.plug in the adapter to the truck.route the wires how you wish to run them.mount the controller where you wish to mount it which i utilized the panel screw for mine rather than put a hole in my new truck.plug in to controler zip tie the wires and your done.I read forums where people make a big issue out of this.truth is it's nothing to it.plug and go.hope my pics are helpful one showing the 4 pin plug,the mount location, and wires zip tied up.I like the mount type for the primus iq. Wouldn't be no problem swap g it to a different truck.I have not used it towing yet to review that part.maybe I can later
Product was exactly what I needed. I sold my old truck with the wire still in it (different make) all I needed a new one for this truck. 5 min of searching and I knew I found the one. 2 day shipping and it arrived on my doorstep. After 10 min of pulling at wires and tape behind my dash I found the right ones. Plugged it in and wham it connected right away (only to tell me I had a broken wire on my trailer brakes, but that's another story).

easy install took longer to get tools out than to put in definitely plug and play with wiring adapter
This is on a 2015 ram outdoors man install was about 10 min. very simple!!!!! truck pigtail is right above right foot covered in a foam tape next to what i think is the factory brake control harness. Thank You E-Trailer!!!!!!!

I am very pleased with this kit only to 5 minutes to install. Easy to follow instructions on install this product. Works great tow are camper every weekend. Would recommend it to everyone.
Easy install with matching wire harness for your vehicle. This controller with proportional braking is a lot of tech for the money and can be programmed easily in a few minutes for your trailer applications. I installed this on my 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie in 1/2 hour, most of that time was figuring out where I wanted to mount the unit. Works flawlessly, and can be be removed from the bracket in a minute and stored in the glove box (if you use the plug in wire harness to match your vehicle. This is a much better controller and several hundred dollars less than a dealer installed controller.

I was starting to worry because Ram hasn't released the electronic trailer brake controller yet for the 2019 Ram 1500 so I decided to look elsewhere. Fortunately etrailer.com had exactly what I needed. This adapter combined with the Tekonsha P3 Prodigy works perfect, and truly is "plug and play"

Awesome, no problems at all
Installation of the P3024-P brake control harness couldn’t have been easier. The harness itself was the perfect length for my application in a 2019 new body Ram. I was also appreciative of the protective shield that protects the individual wires in the harness. I had to route the harness over some metal brackets that had sharp edges so that shield works to protect the wires. Simple and easy snap and play installation.

Product has worked flawlessly. Couldn’t be more pleased.
This wiring adapter make it so easy to hook up my brake controller. I took my old brake controller (Primus IQ) out of my old truck which had to be hard wired and installed it on my 2019 Ram 1500. It was so easy, just plug and go, worth every penny.

Wiring adapter worked perfect
Purchased this plugin and brake controller right after purchasing a new 5th wheel trailer, so easy to install on 2015 Ram truck, took about 10 minutes.
I then hooked up trailer and finished setup, everything went fine, used all last summer and fall, works great.

The brake controller works great, easy to install on my 2015 Ram.
E-trailer was the cheapest place to get these parts, fast delivery also ....... This was one of the easiest things I've ever done ... took all of 10 minutes ... had to go back into the house to get a number 2 Phillips screwdriver to mount the bracket ... snapped it in place , plugged it in , all set to go...
