Location of Brake Controller Adapter Port on 2019 Ram 1500

Every 2019 Ram 1500 has the brake controller adapter port because they use the same plug that Ram uses for their integrated brake controller option. I contacted the tech at Tekonsha that also confirmed that to be true. The dealership may have thought you were asking about the brake controller itself. Even if the Ram did not come equipped with the brake controller the plug is still there.

The Tech at Tekonsha owns a 2019 Ram 1500 and he confirmed the plug is underneath the heater controls on the dash. There is a panel with clips directly underneath the heater controls that you can reach behind and unclip. The plug is behind this panel tucked inside the dash. I have attached a photo that shows the panel I am describing.

I can not find the connection mentioned behind the panel highlighted on my 2020 RAM 1500. Do you have anymore pictures?

The factory brake controller should be somewhere behind the panel indicated above. From what I could find on the newer Rams, the plug itself likely isn't visible right away after removing the panel. It tends to be taped up with some other wiring and can be relatively hidden - you might have to dig around a bit before finding it. It will then need to be pulled out to hook up to the brake controller harness. If you continue to have trouble please let me know. I wasn't able to find any additional pictures.
