Video Transcript for Complete Breakdown of the 2" Hitch Ball-F37CR

Jeff Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this 2 inch stainless steel hitch ball with the 2 1/8 inch long shank and a 6,000 pound weight capacity. Now this hitch ball is designed for marine use. It is a full stainless steel construction so it won't rust and it is cold forge for superior strength. This hitch ball does meet the VESC regulation V-5 safety requirements. Few specs on this.

The gross trailer weight capacity is 6,000 pounds and that'll be stamped on the top of the ball. Gross tongue weight capacity of 600 pounds. The ball diameter is 2 inches, and on the shank dimensions, which we'll measure, the diameter of the shank itself is right at 1 inch, and the length of the shank is 2 1/8 inches long. So when you do go to install this, you'll just drop this through the ball hole, take your stainless steel lock washer, put that on, add in your stainless steel nut, and go ahead and tighten that on. And then once you go to tighten it down you do wanna torque it to the correct specs.

But that should do it for the review on the 2 inch stainless steel hitch ball with the 2 1/8 inch long shank and a 6,000 pound weight capacity..

The Fulton 2" Hitch Ball - 1" Diameter x 2-1/8" Long Shank - Stainless Steel - 6,000 lbs fits perfectly on the Curt QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler for 2" Ball - 2" Channel - 3,500 lbs. A front hitch is very usefull in front of an ATV like my Honda Foreman, it give you total control in the direction of the trailer. You have to go slow speed, not on the highway of course.

This makes the truck and trailer look good. Kinda the finishing touch so to speak. I tow an 18 foot flat bottom with a custom trailer. This is the finishing touch to my rig.

real good. I have a boat trailer and didnt want to deal with a rust condition

I spent the extra bucks to get this all stainless (including the nut and lock washer) hitch ball. After the first use (rained while in transit) and 2 days of the hitch coupling attached to the ball, the ball shows rust. Disappointing.

Now that you're all hitched up and ready to roll, what will you be towing?

by:

All looks good. Used premium lube on ball to prevent any rust. Anti seize paste on the threads to prevent galling. So far, good.

Very good!
