Recommended Air Bag Kit for a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 w/ Magna Ride and a 6 Inch Lift

Question:

I have a 2018 Sierra 1500 Denali with Magna Ride and a 6 suspension lift. I would like to install the Air Lift 5000 lb. capacity kit. I would like to use the wireless air compressor as well. Will this all work with my application?

There is an air bag kit that will work with your truck but since you have Magna Ride the Air Lift item # AL89204 will not. None of the Air Lift kits are compatible, so I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F2430. These air springs have a comparable 4,800 lbs load leveling capacity.

To compensate for your 6" lift you will need a spacer and to find out which one you will have to take a measurement. You'll want to make sure that your Sierra is level with all the wheels and tires still on the ground. You'll then measure from where the top bracket mounts to where the bottom bracket mounts.

If the distance is 7.5" - 8.5" you'll need a 2" lift spacer item # F2366

If the distance is 8.5" - 9.5" you'll need a 3" lift spacer item # F2367

If the distance is 9.5" - 10.5" you'll need a 4" lift spacer item # F2371

If the distance is 11.5" - 12.5" you'll need a 6" lift spacer item # F2375

For an onboard air compressor you will want the Air Command Compressor System item # F2610. This onboard compressor will allow you to adjust the PSI in your air bags individually from the comfort of your cab. This wireless compressor connects to your phone using Bluetooth so you don't have to worry about losing signal if you're in an area with no service.
