Expert Reply:
To put airbags on your 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with a 6" lift you will need spacers. For the air bags I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite # F2250, which are a fit for your truck; you also need Lift Spacers for Vehicles with 6" Lift # F2375 to complete the installation. These spacers will work for you so long as you have between 11-1/2" and 12-1/2" between your upper and lower brackets.
These airbags can be adjusted individually from 5 psi to 100 psi to help compensate for off-center loads and have a 4,800 lb load-leveling capacity. The airbags are going to improve your Silverado's handling and reduce tire wear by helping keep your front tires on the ground and will also benefit your truck's rear suspension by preventing sagging.
I've added a link to a video review of the Ride-Rites as well as a link to a video of this part being installed on a 2005 Silverado for you to check out.
