Good afternoon Im looking for a lift kit for my Big Tex 14GX gooseneck trailer. The lift on my truck 2014 RAM 2500 4x4 is a 4 inch BDS suspension lift. Michael

Hey Michael,

Since the 14GX has drop axles to lower the deck height for easier loading/unloading you could either replace the axles with standard spindle axles or go with a lift kit depending on whichever is the more cost effective route for you. Big Tex lists that the 14GX has two 7k axles so the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-385-00 should be the right fit, but you'll want to measure the axle tube to confirm. You'll need one kit per axle and will need to have the new spring seats included in the kit tack welded to the axle tube.

If you want to replace the axles you'll need to measure from hub face to hub face and from the center of one spring seat over to the center of the other spring seat.

Ok, just to clarify. If I order the lift kit, two kits should be enough for two axles?

@Michael Yes, each kit will come with enough hardware to do both sides of the axle.
