Hello neighbors, I'm Steven here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at this replacement ball and plate assembly for the Curt Friction Sway Control System. Now folks, this is gonna simply replace the trailer mount ball and plate assembly just like this guy here. Again, for the one that came with your Curt Friction style sway control system. Now that guy is sold separately. It's item number 17200, 17200.
Again, if you need that, it is sold separately. You also get the included clips here and the four mounting bolts to mount into the hole for installation. Now it has a very nice durable steel construction. It's a black powder coat finish. You can kind of see the shine there when I bring it through the lights and whatnot.
Now the distance between these mine holes, I was getting 2 5/16 of an inch, and that's any way that you measure that, 2 5/16 of an inch center on center. until we bought a new trailer and the Dealer swapped it out to our new camper and mounted it too close to the hitch.
