Ask the Experts about this Reese Accessories and Parts

  • Adjustment Hole Spacing and Diameter of Reese RP69FR Weight Distribution Shank
The Reese # RP69FR weight distribution shank uses the industry standard bolt hole diameter and spacing. The holes are 3/4 of an inch in diameter and spaced 1-1/4 inch apart on center. I've provided a photo, showing these and other key dimensions of the # RP69FR Reese Weight Distribution Shank. The shank would work perfectly with your Curt # C17500 TruTrack Weight Distribution kit.

  • Replacement Weight Distribution Shank for EZ Lift Weight Distribution System
The Reese Weight Distribution Shank # RP69FR has 3/4" bolt holes spaced 1-1/4" apart (center on center) which is fairly standard. I don't know for sure what the specs for your EZ-Lift system's hitch head are (we don't currently offer EZ Lift parts) but I do believe most EZ-Lift systems used industry standard hole spacing and sizes. You can measure the holes on your EZ Lift weight distribution head to confirm this will work for you.

  • Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch For Trailer W/ 440lbs TW, and Trailer W/550lbs TW
I would be happy to help! First the Curt MV Weight Distribution Hitch # C17050 you were looking at would be a bit stiff with the 440lb tongue weight you mentioned for your 16' Airstream, but is that figure what Airstream lists as the tongue weight, or what you measured? I would use a tongue weight scale to measure the tongue weight of both of your trailers when they are fully loaded if you have not already, as the tongue weight figures manufacturers provide are typically the unloaded...

  • Which Weight Distribution Shank with 8 to 10 Inches to Use with Reese Strait-Line
The Reese Strait-Line # RP66082 is ideal for trailers with tongue weights between 200-lbs and 600-lbs, so it will do a great job with your Rpod 180 trailer with a 332-lbs dry tongue weight. I also really like the Strait-Line system because the cam style sway control is really smooth and does a great job of preventing trailer sway before it starts. It's going to be far superior to trunion or round bar systems and would be my recommendation if you're looking for the best solution. It sounds...

  • Does Reese Weight Distribution Shank Fit Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution
It sure does; weight distribution shanks are by and large universal, so long as they have the correct bolt hole diameter of 3/4" and spacing of 1-1/4", which the Reese shank you asked about does: - Reese Weight Distribution Shank for 2" Hitches # RP69FR Because it has the correct dimensions, it will absolutely work with your Equal-i-zer weight distribution hitch.

  • Does Torklift Everest Weight Distribution Shank Fit Other Brand Systems
Unlike most other weight distribution shanks out there the part # TLM9010 does not fit the standard dimensions like you are looking for. This has wider holes for the head to attach to that are spaced further apart. For a similar shank that has 9 adjustment holes we have the Reese part # RP69FR.

  • How to Lower a Weight Distribution System After Adding a Leaf Spring to the Towing Vehicle
If adding the spring did get the vehicle level, but has messed with how the trailer sits, you can add a shank that will sit lower than the one that came with your weight distribution system. I suggest going with the Reese # RP69FR as this will have up to 4 inches of drop as opposed to the stock 1 inch drop. This is also rated up to 1,200 pounds of tongue weight.
