Helpful Expert Reply:
The Replacement Ball and Plate Assembly for Curt Friction Sway Control System part # C17201 is the replacement ball and plate for the Curt Friction Sway Control for Weight Distribution Systems part # 17200. The plate assembly needs to be 24" straight back from the center of the coupler to the right side of the trailer frame. Transfer the punch holes from the spacer plate into the trailer frame and drill 11/32" holes . Then use the self-tapping screws provided to attach the plate and trailer-mounted attachment ball to the frame frame. There are not torque requirements. I have attached the installation instructions as well.
