Can Camco Anti-Sway Ball Plate and Curt # 17201 Be Interchanged for Anti-Sway Bar Use?

can camco 48388 and curt 17201 plates be swapped out without drilling new bolt holes? and is the ball size the same? thank you

We do not carry the camco 48388, but from what I can find online they don't perfectly match the Replacement Ball and Plate Assembly for Curt Friction Sway Control System # C17201 mounting holes. The hitch ball is the same size, and users have found that drilling is not required to swap, but 2 bolts are more difficult to install. The Curt ball has mounting holes 2-5/16 inches on center.
I don't recommend cross-threading your current holes as they may not hold as well. You will want to either use the same parts or drill holes and use proper hardware to create the correct hold.
