This coupler features a simple-to-use latching mechanism known as the eZ-Latch. With this mechanism, hooking up is as easy as dropping the coupler over your trailer hitch ball. The latch does not need to be tugged or manually activated to allow the ball into the coupler socket, nor does it have to be secured in place. Just make sure that the coupler is properly lined up with the ball when you lower it, and the rest is automatic. Disengaging the coupler is just as effortless. Simply lift up the handle and the coupler socket will automatically release its grip on the ball.
The contoured, low-profile design of the latch handle helps protect the coupler from damage by allowing any potential hazards - from debris on the road to your ball mount backing into the coupler - to simply slide over the top. This helps prevent anything from getting under the latch handle and releasing the ball, and it can also limit any damage to the coupler should an impact occur
Unlike most couplers, which have a pin hole on the handle latch, the eZ-Latch coupler features a hole on the side of the coupler itself. Inserting a coupler lock through this hole will keep the latch from lifting, preventing disconnect and theft.
Made of sturdy steel, this coupler features a durable red powder coat primed paint that is designed to limit rust and corrosion. This finish, which allows for easy welding, has a 500-hour salt spray rating, making the coupler perfect for marine use.
The eZ-Latch's sleek, ergonomically designed handle is constructed of an impact-resistant polymer-nylon-resin compound that provides the flexibility and strength needed to bounce back from a collision. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Demco 32-Degree A-Frame Trailer Coupler. Now, the A-frame coupler's going to let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. It's going to provide the connection point for your hitch ball. One of the unique features about the Demco couplers is that they feature the easy latch mechanism. The mechanism is actually an internal component and what that does is . All you have to do is drop the connection point over your hitch ball and it latches automatically, so that's where the easy latch name comes from. It's a very secure hook up and disconnect.
Again, it's going to let you hook up when the latch is in the closed position, so you do not have to prop it open. You can just drop this over the hitch ball and it's going to connect and latch automatically. Now, the handle right here. You'll notice that it's a low-profile design. The sleek low-profile design allows hazards to simply slip over the top of the coupler, which is going to prevent damage to the latch components. That's going to be a corrosion-proof polymer nylon resin composite material.
That's very strong as well as impact and corrosion resistant. Now, this is a heavy duty steel construction. It has a red powder coat prime paint finish that's going to offer excellent corrosion resistance. It has a 500 hour salt spray rating, so it's going to be great for marine applications as well. Then here at the back it's got the built in jack attachment point. That's going to allow for quick easy mounting of a round utility jack. This is a weld on installation.
It is SAEJ684 certified. I'll just give you a look of the underside of it. Just really nice structural design when it comes to this coupler. Again, this is designed for 32-degree a-frame trailers. The ball size that this will fit over is going to be a 2 and 5/16 inch ball.
This coupler's rated with a capacity of 21,000 pounds. A few measurements to go over with you real quick. We just want to go over the jack hole diameter. That's going to measure right at 2 and 3/8 of an inch. The distance between the attachment holes is going to be three inches on center. That's going to be the same between each set of holes. Center on center is right on 3 inches. Then, these holes are going to have a diameter of half of an inch. Now, you'll notice right here by the latch, there's going to be a small hole that's going to be located on each side. That's designed to patch through a coupler pin and lock. That way once you have this connected, that's going to prevent accidental disconnecting . Which shouldn't be an issue with this coupler anyways, but just adds more security. You can also place a lock on here if you're trailer's unattended to prevent somebody else from hooking up to your system. This hole right here is going to give us a diameter of 5/16 of an inch. Then, the minimum span needed for a pin lock. Basically that's going to be the usable pin length, so from edge to edge we're looking at 2 and 3/4 of an inch. Now, this is going to give us an overall length measurement, from front to back, of about 19 and 1/4 inches. Then, the width here at the back. We're looking at about 9 and 7/16 of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the Demco 32-Degree A-Frame Trailer Coupler.

Cutout in plate fits 2-3/8" round jack.This coupler looks like it will do the job. It is very high quality! It is a little overkill for my size trailer, but it is the only one I could find with a 32* angle that will fit my 20 ft. V-nose cargo trailer.
I can't wait to get started replacing my worn out factory coupler with over 16 years and 100,000 miles on it.

Product was as described. Had to modify to fit the included angle of our frame rails, but we knew that going in. Well built part that has a high rating for our needs.
I think they were glad I bought it. It had quite the film of dust on it. It cleaned up real nice. We used it for the first time this weekend and it worked perfect. I would buy it again
