Question:

I broke the release button on my UFP hitch. Ideally, Id like to replace the lever or button that broke but Id be fine with welding on a new coupler. Its a UFP CA-50. I cant seem to find any UFP A-frame couplers.

UFP was bought out by Dexter Axle a number of years ago and they've been phasing out those parts for a while now so I recommend swapping out your a-frame coupler to one that is currently being manufactured so if you need to replace anything in the future it will be easier to do so.

For your application I recommend checking out the Demco 32-Degree A-Frame Trailer Coupler which comes in Black # DM15633-81 or Red # DM15633-97 and is rated for 21K lbs. This has the smaller 32-Degree A-Frame design so you'll want to make sure that's what you have. If your angle is a little less then you'll need to use a few small shims to fill out the extra spacing.
