I have a solution for you, but there is not a plug and play type harness for this application that I'm aware of, so the easiest way is to tap into the tail lights on the truck. In order to power the third brake light on your truck topper via the tail lights you will need the Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module part # PP20-702, since the brake/turn signal circuits are combined. This means you'll need to separate the brake/turn signals or else the third brake light would blink when turning. You'll need some 12 gauge wire # 12-1-1 and some butt connectors like the # DW05745-5 to make the connections, but this is the most commonly used solution for connecting the 3rd brake light on a truck topper.
You could also try to tap directly into the 3rd brake light on your 2020 Colorado if those wires are accessible. You would just need to run power from that 3rd brake light across the top of interior of the topper and ground the topper light separately.
If the topper has an interior light, inn order to power that you would want to run a wire to the battery or just tap into the trailer battery charge line circuit on the vehicle's trailer wiring circuit.
