If your 1993 Ford F-150 already has 4-Way trailer connector, all you will need is the 4- and 7-way installation kit # ETBC7 to add a functioning 7-Way to your truck. This also provides the wiring for a brake controller. I have included some links that explain the ETBC7 installation.
If you already have the 7-Way connector that you want to install, then you will need to hardwire it in. Use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 if needed to determine the functions of those 5 wires that you found. You will need to attach them to the back of the 7-Way like in the picture I have provided.
The remaining functions that are not part of that 5-wire bundle will need to be hardwired. You can use about 25 feet of # 10-2-1 wire for the 12-volt power and brake functions. Attach the black wire to the 12-volt circuit on the 7-Way and the white wire to the brake circuit on the 7-Way. Route them under the truck, avoiding areas that may pinch or burn the wire, and into the engine compartment.
The black wire will connect to the positive battery terminal via a 40 amp circuit breaker, # PK54540. The white wire will get routed through the firewall and connect to a brake controller blue wire.
Any extra wire can be used to attach from the 7-Way reverse light circuit to the reverse light wire on the truck (if needed, if the trailer does not have reverse lights you will not need to connect this circuit). If you need a brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha P2, # 90885 because it is easy to set up and easy to use. I have included a link to the installation details for you.
