Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Curt Replacement 7-way RV Style and 4-way Flat OEM USCAR Trailer Connector. Now, this part here will replace the OEM connector to provide a 4-way and a 7-way trailer wiring connection, and it is designed to fit the USCAR-equipped vehicles with the factory tow plugs only. Now, the 4-way flat output right here will connect your taillights, brake lights, and turn signals, and then the 7-way blade socket will do those three, and also add reverse lights, electric brakes, and auxiliary power. Now, on the caps, they do use nice rubber gaskets that'll help keep the moisture and the elements out when the cap is closed, and they are spring loaded, you can see, so that will keep them closed, keeps the connectors clean when they're not in use, and they also use pre-greased terminals for a nice reliable connection. But that should do it for the review on this Curt Replacement 7-way RV Style and 4-way Flat OEM USCAR Trailer Connector..
I had to replace this original connector due to corrosion. The Curt connector from etrailer was a perfect fit. Easy to replace. It took less than 10 minutes. Highly recommend.
My understanding before purchasing was that I would be able to use both the flat four ans seven pin receptacle at the same time. This was not the case, but I was able to remove the lockout mechanism that allowed allowed use of both recepticals together. Other than that the part works fine.
Easy peazy!! From package, pop into truck, plug trailer in...viola!!! Lights!!!

Still performing well. No issues
Ok long story short I bought a used truck with a " check trailer brake" warning. Dealer said they would fix it, but never called me back. Everytime it rained I got a warning on my dash. I bought this and haven't had an issue since. Love this easy fix.
Perfect fit. Plug and Play on my 2017 GMC 2500 Duramax. Most difficult thing was reaching behind the bumper to flex the metal push tabs holding in my old one. New one slide right in with no difficulty. All lights, brakes work.
After cutting out the plastic properly from the backside of the bumper, the metal clips want push all the way through and click on the metal bumper to secure and snap in correctly on a 2025 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x.
Metal bumper on 2025 Nissan Frontier is pre stamped for this design. All I had to do was cut the plastic part of the bumper covering the pre stamped metal location with a Dremel tool. Connector snapped right in.
Plug and play! Built a lot sturdier than the oem. Would definitely recommend this product !

Well, it fit and connected into the existing ford trailer brake position but I bought it because the way the duel doors hing I thought I could use both the 7 and 4 wire plugs to run my camper and trailer at the same time, but there is a lock that will only allow one door to be open at a time.

The connector was an easy install. After a year of use it is still working, The one thing that I do not like is that it is not tight. It has a little play in the mount.
Fit perfectly in my factory pre cut truck bed slot. Plug and play made it super fast and easy!

Item seems good, but your install video implied that a mounting bracket was included—but it wasn’t! Now I have to order it SEPARATELY and then wait a whole (another) week for it to arrive. Perhaps you can make it clear when items need to be ordered separately.
