  • Can a 1-1/4 - 2 Adapter be Used to Safely Haul a Cargo Carrier with a 2015 Toyota Corolla
The concept of a hitch adapter like the Brophy # HTAD is a good idea in theory but the problem with using one of those with a 1-1/4" hitch, like part # C11265 or # 24913 for your 2015 Toyota Corolla, is that it will reduce the weight capacity of your trailer hitch by 50%. Since those trailer hitches have a tongue weight rating of 200 lbs this means that the tongue weight will be reduced to 100 lbs. If you were to use all of this for the 24x59 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18151 you would only...

  • Folding Aluminum Cargo Carrier that Measures 24 by 60 Inches
The only folding aluminum cargo carrier we have is the Curt # C18100 which measures 19 by 60 inches. We do have a folding cargo carrier that is 24 by 60 inches. The Curt # C18151 however, it's steel not aluminum.

  • Recommended Equipment Needed for Towing with a 2017 Honda Pilot
Both the Curt Trailer Hitch # C13146 that you are interested in and the etrailer Trailer Hitch # e98840 are identical in weight capacities and installation as well so either one will do a great job. Since you are interested in the Curt option I recommend going ahead with that trailer hitch. You will need to note that neither of these options will fit your 2017 Honda Pilot if you have the full size spare tires with a wheel diameter larger than 18 inches. This will work great with the 24x59...

  • 2019 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid Trailer Hitch Recommendation for Bike Rack
The best hitch solution we offer for your 2019 Acura MDX is the etrailer hitch part # E98840 as it has plenty of capacity for your bike rack, is the least visible option, and has a very easy install. I attached a picture of it installed as well as an install video for more info for you to check out as well. For a bike rack I really like the Saris Superclamp EX part # SA4025F. This is a platform bike rack that only touches the bike at the tires and only weighs 35 lbs. The biggest drawback...

  • Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Lock & Light Kit Compatible With Curt Cargo Carrier C18151
Yes, the two are compatible! You can use the Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # 63232 with the 23x60 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18151. This will both lock and steady the cargo carrier in your hitch. I have added links to video reviews of both for you to check out.

  • Recommended Cargo Carrier For 2015 Ford Mustang With 1-1/4 Inch Trailer Hitch
To be able to use the Curt Cargo Carrier, part # C18151 on your 2015 Mustang you will need an adapter because the only trailer hitches available for your vehicle is a Class l trailer hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. You would need an adapter like part # HTAD to be able to carry the 2-inch cargo carrier. Keep in mind that using any adapter in the hitch reduces the weight capacity of the hitch by 50 percent. The # C18151 basket weight is about 55-lbs. So this would not leave...

Hey Joe, The 20x60 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18151 weighs in at 54-1/2 lbs. This doesn't come with hitch pin so you'll also want to pick up either a Standard Hitch Pin # e45TR or a Locking Hitch Pin # e98880.

HI Gregory; a hitch cargo carrier like the Curt # C18151 does not come assembled. There is some assembly required once you receive it before you can use it. I went ahead and attached the instructions below which show what needs to be done to assemble the cargo carrier for your reference.

Hi David; it sounds like you already have a hitch and a 7-way connector on your 2016 Porsche Cayenne GTS. The converter you need is the 7-Way to 4-Way/5-Way Trailer Adapter # C35FR. This is specifically designed for vehicles like your Porsche to prevent errors when connecting to LED lights. For the LED strip you can use the Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator Lights # C53201. • Best Hitch and Cargo Carrier for a 2021 Mazda CX-5
I would be happy to help you find a cargo carrier and set your 2021 Mazda CX-5 up with a new trailer hitch. We'll start out with your hitch, I recommend the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver item # EH68VR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts directly to your CX-5 with included hardware. It is our must subtle looking hitch after install and the sleek design leaves only the receiver visible. The crossbar is concealed behind the rear trim for a factory look. • Do You Sell a Hitch Carrier for a Honda EU3000 Generator?
According to my research, the size of a Honda EU3000 generator is 25.8 long x 18.9 wide x 22.4 high. For a carrier that will fit the generator on a 2-inch hitch receiver if you plan to operate the generator on the carrier, I recommend the 20x59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Folding # C18151. It fits the dimensions of the Honda EU3000 and it is make of steel, so it can take the heat of the generator once it gets hot. If you are just wanting to transport the EU3000 and place...

The 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches, part # C18152, and the 24x60 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches, part # 63153, are extremely similar. In fact, in terms of the specs that you mentioned, neither stands above the other. I only recommend the Curt over the Reese because the rails are 3" taller, allowing you to have more options in what you can carry. As for foldable baskets, they are reliable. For example, the Curt Folding Carrier, part # C18151, has fantastic reviews from our...

  • Bike Rack and Cargo Carrier Combo Recommendation
I have a great solution for you, but you cannot install a hitch accessory in the tube at the end of the Curt carrier part # C18151 that you referenced. Instead check out the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack and Cargo Carrier part # HR1400Z-85 which comes with a carrier at the rear of a platform bike rack. You can also remove the bike rack portion and just use the cargo carrier if you want as well.

I do have a bike rack and cargo carrier combo for you but you cannot add a bike rack to the end of the Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18151 because that is not what the opening is deigned for. The Curt Cargo Carrier would not be able to withstand the added stress of a bike rack. • Is There a Hitch Mount Version of the 24x84 etrailer Cargo Carrier for RV Bumper
I do have some options for you but you'll notice the 24x84 etrailer Cargo Carrier for RV Bumper part # e96ZR has three points of contact which is what allows it to support such a long load. The 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches part # C18151 for example on the other hand only has a single point of contact, therefore you're maxed out at 60" which is about the limit for a hitch mounted cargo carrier. • Factors that Contribute to Exhaust Melting Hitch Cargo Carrier
Exhaust melting cargo on a cargo carrier isn't a super common problem, but we are aware that it does happen on occasion. Especially if the cargo carrier is at the same height as the exhaust, relatively close to it, and/or the material in the carrier is susceptible to melting. Other factors to consider are the size of the engine, climate, and road conditions. Engines are basically big air pumps. The bigger the motor the more hot air is pumped out of it. Hotter climates will also allow things...

You can replace your existing hitch pin/bolt with theAnti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitches - 3-1/2" Span, part # 63232. • What Trimming is Involved in the Installation of the # C99FR on My 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid?
Yes, you will have to complete some minor trimming when installing the Curt Hitch # C99FR on your 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. I went ahead and attached a diagram that shows the dimensions of the trimming you need to do (the shaded areas). The great thing about the Curt hitch is that it installs close to the rear bumper. The distance from the center of the hitch's pinhole to the outside face of your bumper is only 1-1/2 inches. This makes the Curt hitch a great choice if you want to...

You are correct that we offer both Class III and Class IV 2-inch hitches for your 2018 Ford Transit T350 passenger van. If trailer towing were your intended application then the Class IV hitch # C14012 would definitely be my top recommendation since it can tow 2000-lbs more weight than the Class III model # C13193. But since your intended use is with a hitch-mount cargo carrier like # C18151 I recommend instead that you go with their Class III hitch # C13193 since it has a higher tongue...

  • Cargo Carrier on the Rear of my 5th Wheel Camper
It is very common to see the 23x59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches part # C18151 mounted on the rear of motorhomes using the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver part # E-100 which is rated for a gross trailer weight of 3500 lbs. and 350 lbs.of tongue weight. That said the carrier and hitch can both handle the weight of what you want to carry. As far as if the bumper can handle it you will need to check with your camper's manufaturer to ensure it can handle that weight.

  • Can I Use a 1-1/4" to 2" Hitch Adapter for a Folding Cargo Carrier?
I have a solution for you. Since we don't carry a folding cargo carrier for 1-1/4 inch hitches, the best route is to use a hitch adapter like the Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver (Class II Only) # 80303 with a 2-inch folding option. However, it is important to note that using any kind of hitch adapter will decrease your maximum weight capacity on the hitch by 50%. With that being said, for a folding 2-inch cargo carrier, I recommend the 20x59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2"...

  • Solutions for a Cargo Carrier to Transport Golf Clubs and Other Items
The best option for you to carry your gear is the Curt Folding Carrier # C18151 that you mentioned. A bike rack would not be able to be mounted to the Curt carrier, but that option does exist in the form of the Yakima EXO Swing Away 2 Bike Rack w/ Cargo Carrier - 2" Hitches # Y54ZR. This would work as long as you clubs weigh 110 pounds or less. You would not want to use a propane tank cover for your golf clubs. What I recommend is using a large waterproof bag such as # 988501. The primary differences are the carriers' weights and the type of shank on the carriers. Part # C18151 has a shipping weight of 58-lbs while the (Discontinued) C18153 has a 70-lb shipping weight due to slightly beefier construction. It also has an angled shank that provides 2-inches of additional ground clearance, which is a good...
