Question:

Hi, I have a 2016 Porsche Cayenne GTS with the tow package. I want to hook up a trunk hitch cargo holder and put an LED strip on the cargo holder. I think I need a 7 prong connector to plug into the car receptical and then a converter to a 4 prong with wires going into the LED strip I will attach to the cargo holder for breaking, left/right turn and running light. Can you recommend which products to buy?

Hi David; it sounds like you already have a hitch and a 7-way connector on your 2016 Porsche Cayenne GTS. The converter you need is the 7-Way to 4-Way/5-Way Trailer Adapter # C35FR. This is specifically designed for vehicles like your Porsche to prevent errors when connecting to LED lights.

For the LED strip you can use the Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator Lights # C53201. These come with the 4-way plug attached so you won't have to worry about wiring anything. They have an adhesive backing so you can stick them anywhere on the cargo carrier. If you don't already have a cargo carrier, the Curt # C18151 is a good all-around option.
