Review of the Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier on a 2013 Toyota RAV4

Today on our 2013 Toyota RAV4, we have our Curt, 20 by 60, folding cargo carrier, part number C18151. It's a max capacity of 500 pounds. Let's get some dimensions here. On our Toyota, we have about 34 inches added to the vehicle. Our ground clearance, back here, is about 10 inches to the back, here. Our closest point to the vehicle, right now, is right about 14 inches. Now we do have a singular exhaust. It points to the ground, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

But, just be aware of that if you're putting heat sensitive material on this corner. If you do want to get into the back of your car, this will swing over the cargo carrier, and it does that at about 23-1/2 inches. So if you put anything on there a little taller than that, just be aware you might hit it with your hatch. Now this does have the added feature of being able to fold up when not in use. We just pull this clip, pull the pin out, fold it up and re-insert our pin. Now this does change our dimensions, so we'll go ahead re-take some of these. Our ground clearance, now, is about 8-1/2 inches to the bottom here, and our closest point is about 3-1/2 inches. Now this does come with a pin and clip, but we have anti-rattle pin and clip options on our website.
