I have a 2015 dodge ram2500 6.7 diesel and I am towing my 7000 lbs travel trailer. I want to keep tailgate down to put my golf cart in the bed with tailgate down. I have the weight Distribution bars. Will this work.

If you cut the Reese hitch extender part # RP45292 down to 24 inches and use your weight distribution system you'd have enough capacity for a 7,000 lb travel trailer as the extender has an 8k capacity when used at the 24 inch length and when using a WD system. You should note that the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your truck will need to be considered as additional tongue weight so you'd need to make sure your WD system can accommodate that additional weight.
