Availability Of A 12" Long Hitch Extension Rated For 10,000 lbs Towing

On my motor home I have a 8000lb rated hitch. I am using a blue ox Avail tow bar rated at 10000 lb to tow my 2022 Ram 1500 weighs about 6000 lb. I am looking for a hitch extender about 12” what extender would you recommend, I only see extenders rated at 3500 lbs?

We do have a hitch extender that will work for your application. After looking thru the available options, it seems the Gen-Y Hitch Hitch Extender for 2" Trailer Hitches # GY89SR is going to be your best bet. This extension is 14" long from the center of hitch pin hole to center of hitch pin hole, it can be adjusted to 12" length as well. It is rated for 10,000 lbs so it will be plenty strong for this setup.
