How to Find Replacement Lens for Trailer Identification Light Bar

Question:

I am looking for a RED replacement LENS. It is OVAL shaped and measures: 3 1/4inch long 1 1/4inch wide 7/8inch tall Printing on the lens: SAE P2 98 J 500 DOT It is one of three lights on a white bar. Thank you for any assistance you can provide

The numbers you provided indicate that the lens meets DOT requirements, but it's unfortunately not a unique number that will help us identify the lamp in order to find a replacement lens. Many manufacturers print, stamp or sticker the number of the lamp somewhere on its housing. If you could find THAT number, it would likely help in finding your lens.

If you could reply with a part number for the lamp or a photo (which would be really helpful), I'd be happy to check into it further for you. The more information you could provide, the better.

The # MC38RB lens you mentioned measures 3-1/4 by 1-1/8 by 1 inch, which doesn't match the lens you're looking for.
