How do I make the snap ring fit the jack. It doesnt want too

To remove the snap ring from the Fulton Swivel Jack part # FTJ120W0301, you will need snap-ring or retaining ring pliers. These pliers are available at most local hardware and auto parts stores.
The snap ring pliers will have two pins on the end that will fit in the holes of the snap ring on jack. When you squeeze the pliers, the ring will open up enough to be removed.
To replace the snap-ring, you will simply use the snap ring pliers to open the ring enough to fit it back into place.
