I spoke with my contact over at Roadmaster and have some things that you can check. When the Even Brake # RM-9400 pushes on the brake pedal 3 times what it is doing is making sure that it is receiving a brake signal from the cold side of the brake switch. If it does not detect the signal then it does exactly what you have described.

The brake signal it is looking for goes through terminal 1 on the Even Brake. On a 2007 Jeep Liberty you should be tapped into a white/tan wire on the brake switch. This attachment could have fallen off so check the attachment to the brake switch wire. Making a new attachment to that same wire might be all that is needed.

It is also possible that the stop light or CHMSL (center high mount stop light) fuse is blown on the vehicle.

I am having this issue, however this is my first setup and the mechanic wasn’t able to finish the install. He did not install the brake lite relay at all. How would I install that properly? I’m hoping to use the system next week.

@SilE I attached an install video below that shows how the Brake Lite Relay installs on a Ford Maverick that should be helpful to show how it installs generally.
