Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this RoadMaster Transmitter for the Even Brake Systems. Now this ICX Transmitter box will install inside your tow vehicle, and it relays information about that vehicle's braking activity, to the Even Brake Receiver Monitor that's installed in your motor home. Now this box here, which connects to your towed car's brake light switch, will permanently mount beneath your dash. And then the box will plug into the Even Brake portable unit and then transmits information regarding your system status and breaking activity to the receiver, that mounts in your RV. It will also connect to the included breakaway system, so that it can signal the Easy Brake unit to activate the towed car's brakes in the event of a breakaway.
Now, this does not include the Even Brake Receiver that item we do sell separately. It's part number RM-9410. This kit here will include the ICX Transmitter that I'm holding, the inline fuse holder, a fuse tap, the installation hardware to install this and a nice set of instructions that'll describe how this installs. This part is made in the USA. Now, one note I do want to mention about this, is if your Even Break has a serial number that's above 27,497, then this is the correct product for you.
If your serial number on your Even Break happens to be lower than that number, then you'll need the part number RM-9420, which we do sell separately on our website. But that should do it for the review on the RoadMaster Transmitter for the Even Brake Systems..
It is a good part, but it didn't fix the problem. I had to return the complete system to Roadmaster. Thanks you for the fast service.
Programs easily and works great.
Had nothing but trouble with it. The floor unit will test good. The receiver will receive a signal from the transmitter when brakes of the tow vehicle are applied. But the light never goes out. Tried two different receivers same result. Get random warnings the breakaway switch has been activated when everything is properly connected.
Great Service
Thank. We received the items today. I’ll install them tomorrow.
I think this part works fine, but I can't tell. I think the main unit that presses the brake pedal has a problem.

I am very sorry to hear this Ronald! What is the serial number off of the one you are replacing?
