Question:
Just got this wiring harness part number C96JR to flat tow. I wanted to put a tow hitch in the rear vehicle. What kind of connector do I need to connect to this wiring harness so I can be able to hitch a trailer. Thanks

Hi Jason!
What you are needing for your 2025 Jeep Wrangler is the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 56407. This is a plug and play wiring harness, though you will need to run a wire up to the battery for needed power. It's not a difficult install.
The port on the Curt Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # C96JR used to have a harness that would plug into it, but Curt discontinued that harness as the newer Jeeps needed to have that power wire going to the battery I mentioned. There were issues getting that to work properly with the # C96JR, so they just stopped using it and haven't removed that accessory port for some reason.
On an install note, it's perfectly fine to have multiple harnesses like this stacked as well. We have people do this very often, and I always say to have the order be vehicle wiring, flat tow wiring, trailer wiring, and then to the vehicle lights. That isn't 100% necessary, but it is the way I like to do it.
What are you going to be towing?
