Can you please help me choose appropriate towing mirrors for a 2020 Lexus GX460 Premium body type? I pull a 16 travel trailer.

Hi Chris,

For your 2020 Lexus GX460 they don't have custom mirrors, so you'll need to use a universal towing mirror for your vehicle. I'm personally a fan of dual lens tow mirrors like the K-Source Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirrors - Clip On Part # KS3990 because combining a flat glass mirror with a convex mirror helps to eliminate blind spots and help with distance perception. The mirrors are adjustable and use heavy duty rubber straps to secure around your factory mirrors to reduce vibration and have a quick release button so you can easily remove them. If you prefer a single mirror style, you could also use the K-Source Universal Towing Mirrors - Clip On part # KS3891-2. I've included photos of both mirrors on a vehicle so you can see how they'll look.

I have these and they work well on our 2021 Kia Telluride. They cinch down tight and stay put where you set them. Every time I stop I do check them for tightness. Seldom do I need to cinch them tighter.

@Duane They tend to stay pretty tight to the mirrors, but we always recommend checking them at stops like you do just in case! What kind of trailer do you tow with your Telluride?

Hi Claire, Thank you so much for your suggestion! I will order the dual lens mirrors today. We live in Northwestern Wisconsin and mainly camp in the Upper Pennisula of Michigan. It is just beautiful and the Michigan State Parks near Lake Superior and Lake Michigan are unbeatable. We are really glad we can outfit our car with these mirrors. The trailer camera is good but we have such a huge blind spot it is nerve wracking to haul it in heavy traffic or at night. Chris L.

@ChrisL You're welcome! And I love Michigan! We go up to Crystal Lake or Traverse City every year! We usually do a day trip up to the UP and it's just amazing up there!

These mirrors are great. They work on both our VW Atlas and our GMC Sierra 1500. never had any problem with them on 5000 mile trek from colorado to Seattle and back. I do recommend you mark which is left and which is right side so you don't have to re adjust them when you take them off and put back on.

@Dave I'm happy to hear these mirrors have done well for you so far! Marking which one is left/right is a good tip to make getting them installed faster. Saves a lot of time on early mornings when you're trying to get everything packed up and on the road
