You sure can James! You can definitely add higher capacity leaf springs to your 2013 Premier car trailer. Unless you increase the amount of leafs on the springs significantly you're not going to raise the height of the trailer a noticeable amount though.

The best way to raise the height of your trailer is with the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit item # K71-384-00. This kit is sold individually and is designed to move your trailer's axles below the leaf springs. This will raise your trailer's height by the diameter of the axle plus the thickness of the leaf spring stack. So you should expect at least a 4" lift. It will only work if your axle's are mounted above your leaf springs.

Another pretty simple way of lifting your trailer, is to use the Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit item # RR23QX. This kit comes with brackets that attach to your trailer's spring hangers and lowers the attachment point for the leaf springs. This raises your trailers height. The item # RR23QX will give you a 1-1/4" lift. The item # RR55QX will provide a 2-1/4" lift. This will work with axles mounted above or below leaf springs.

To find you the right size leaf springs, I'll need you to find the C measurement in the diagram I attached below. You'll want to make sure you get the weight off of that side of your suspension before measuring. Leaf springs stretch out over years of use and this is most accurate way to find replacements. I'll also need to know how many leafs your current springs have.

When you swap out your leaf springs, you'll also want to switch out your hardware as those wet bolts are only meant to be torqued down once. You'll want to pick a kit with the closest size to your current shackle straps.

The MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers item # MR46ZR is for 2-1/4" shackles or item # MR76ZR is for 3-1/8" shackles. These kits come with the bronze bushings, wet bolts and shackle straps.

If you're also wanting to replace the equalizers, I'll need the 6-1/2" and 3-1/4" measurements shown in the diagram below of the item # MR87ZR.

You can add all these measurements, along with any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.

What kind of cars do you haul with your trailer?

@JamesH Thanks for those measurements. There's two options that'll work to upgrade your 3,500 lbs leaf springs. 4,000 lbs - 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring item # e57SR 4,400 lbs - 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring item # DX95CR For an 8" wide equalizer, I recommend the MORryde Shock Absorbing Suspension Equalizers item # MR27ZR. It's 3-1/2" tall.
