Will The DeeZee DZ26GJ Bed Mat Also Allow An In-Bed Camper To Be Installed In A 2024 GMC Sierra 2500

Updated 10/10/2026 | Published 10/08/2026

Question:

I have 2024 GMC 2500 PRO, standard box with factory installed 5th wheel package. Will this truck bed mat work for my truck? If not, which one will? I plan to place my truck camper over it. Thank you.

Hi Ron!

With the DeeZee Custom-Fit Truck Bed Mat # DZ26GJ being 3/8" thick, I don't foresee any issues with an in-bed camper also being installed in your 2024 Sierra 2500. However, if you ever need to use that factory prep package, you will either need to remove the mat or cut holes where the gooseneck ball or 5th wheel hitch legs will lock in.

And I fully endorse the DeeZee bed mats. I've had one in the back of my Silverado since 2018 and that thing is still in great condition. Just wash it off every now and then and it will look as good as new! ^___^

What kind of camper are you going to be carrying?

We have a fifth-wheel hitch as well, and the mat has the cutouts for it. Our B&W hitch is adjustable, including the length of the four pins that secure the hitch to the truck, so I don’t see the thickness of the mat being an issue. We have both a fifth wheel and a truck camper, and we leave the mat in the truck for both setups. We haven’t had any issues. Good luck!

Ron, I have a 2022 Chevrolet 3500 with turnover ball but I use the base pinned, I trimmed out the area the where the rails set. I love the liner works great very heavy duty, this is the third one I have owned would recommend to anyone. Happy towing Denny
