Question:
I currently have Furrion Chill Cube 18K Variable Speed RV Air Conditioner, Ducted, White Item No. 154550 Furrion Chill Cube Ducted Air Distribution Box R32 with Remote - White Item No. 154553 To move to a heat pump version, what do I need to replace? I presume I can just replace 154550 and use air distribution box? The 154550 unit is about 18 months old.

Hey Russell, welcome back! That is correct, you can replace your existing Chill Cube with the Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Heat Pump # FR24TQ. All you're doing is swapping out the rooftop unit and using the same air distribution box, remote, and thermostat that came with your original # FR69TD since they're the same for both models.
Any big trips coming up this fall once you swap out the AC?

Thanks Robin. I’m getting a roof replacement so the AC is coming off, and I like the idea of being able to generate heat with electricity versus just using the gas furnace - it makes some longer stays at wintertime campgrounds with hookups readily viable, or without hookups on the generator some. We do have probably 100+ days of use on that 18 month old unit. It is such an improvement over the original AC. I can easily run it in the driveway on 120V by setting gear to 50% so I can pre-cool before a trip. And we’ve seen as high as 116F crossing the Mojave desert - temp got into low 80s inside but came back down once the sun dropped. It has worked really well, but with pulling it off it is hard to not put on the heat pump version instead.
