Yes, Curt trailer hitch # C11240 will fit your 2014 Chevy Sonic sedan. I have linked a video to the right showing installation of the trailer hitch for you.
If you plan on using the hitch for a bike rack or cargo carrier please make sure that the accessory is rated for a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with bike racks or cargo carriers Curt requires the use of stabilization strap # 18050 when using those items or any non-trailer load in the hitch.
If you want to tow you will want to consult the vehicle owners manual to make sure it is permissible to do so with your Sonic. If so then the correct ball mount is # C45520. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # C40001 and for a 2 inch ball use # C40018. And for trailer wiring you can use # 118640.
