This harness includes a powered converter that draws power directly from the vehicle battery through a 12-gauge wire and inline fuse. That setup isolates the trailer’s lighting load from the sensitive vehicle electronics, protecting them from shorts or overloads. It delivers reliable current to your trailer’s running, turn, and brake lights with consistent brightness every time you hook up.
Once installed, only the 4-flat connector is visible at the hitch area, ready to plug into any standard trailer plug. The hitch that I purchased for my Murano fit exactly and was a snap to install. It only took about an hour and the instructions were great. The wiring kit and controler took about an hour also. I'm glad the instructions for this kit were so clearly written.

Arrived quickly. All parts necessary are included. Their video is excellent and detailed enough that you don't need to read the included installation manual. I installed the hitch and harness by myself in 30 minutes.
I watched the installation video for this, as well as had the installation instructions. Glad I watched the video! I also watched and read installation instructions for the Nissan OEM wiring, which had an additional set of connectors between the trailer plug and the converter box, allowing them to pass these through a hole (covered with a rubber grommet) in the floor, and down to the hitch area.
The only part of this product's design that I really didn't like was that they expect you to keep the cord in the baggage area, or where the spare tire is kept, and then stick it out of the hatch, like a dog with it's tongue out, when you tow something. For someone who tows something only very occasionally, that's fine. But for my purposes, it would need to be done at least once per week, so the risk of shutting the latch on the hatchback down on the wire was much higher. I didn't like that, so I went to see how Nissan does theirs.
The installation was extremely smooth and easy, although I did need to straighten a few pins on the T-connectors to ensure they would connect with the car's light connectors. Everything worked the first time, and I am extremely happy with the product itself.
When it came time to route the plug down to the hitch, I used the same hole that Nissan uses for their OEM wiring, and just shaved a small amount off each side of the trailer plug, so it would fit through the OEM hole. I then slit the grommet and put the wiring through it. Once the grommet was replaced, it's a weather-tight solution. Zip-ties hold everything in place, and it looks great.

How the heck did you get my hitch to me so fast, that’s the mystery. Over the Thanksgiving holiday. Everything intact and ready for assembly. So I appreciate the great service and being “in the loop” from the time I placed the order BUT it’s still a mystery........

My hitch system works great. Tough winters, hot summers - no problems.

Product works great as intended Was an easy install.
Received both the hitch and wire connector this afternoon! Got both installed today with ease. I don’t have a test light plug to check lights so I’ll test tomorrow with trailer! I’m confident that the lights will work!
Well had a little bit of time spent on the install. I live on the west Coast and alot of sand. So when i tried to clean out mounting points the wire brush wwas not getting it cleaned out. So i ended up going and getting a tap to clean out treads. Then started to reinstall. Yep went up and done in 5 min. Works great. The wire harness i got just pluged right in. Now i wish i had a hitch cover to advertise for you. Cause the hole package is great. Thank you

Well, I mean if you really would like to, we wouldnt stop you from getting part # 22282. Its a hitch cover that says etrailer.com on it. Either way though, thank you for the glowing review!
Easy to install and works great.
Super Easy install and instructions were spot on. Instructional videos are very thorough. I absolutely advise you take the time to make sure the threads are clean as suggested in the video. This will make starting the bolts much easier. The passenger side is a bit tight with regard to maneuvering the hitch into place. Can't believe some of the quotes I got from local retailers to install (with all respect to their expertise and business acumen).

I originally was going to install this wiring harness myself (along with a new hitch, but found that the hitch was problematic to install not due to the hitch, but because of my car) so I brought both things to my local mechanic. He reports the install was very simple. The harness has been working flawlessly over the past year on my 2018 Nissan Murano.

Connectors snap right in place with plenty of extra wire to work out routing.
Although the installation instructions don’t mention it, there’s an extra (larger) ring connector in the kit that was useful in attaching the ground wire to an existing frame bolt.

Install was very easy, after cleaning out the bolt holes in the frame. Wiring Install was just as easy after reading the instructions!
I learned of etrailer thru a good friend of mine. Came by UPS, well packaged. I installed the hitch on 1 day and did the wiring the next day. Instructions and on site videos were easy to follow. I think it looks great on my 2015 Nissan Murano. I will keep etrailer in mind for any future purchases.
First of all the service and staff was excellent. I ordered the receiver and wiring on Thursday and it arrived Tuesday evening.
This was a simple installation and took about 15 minutes. Installed on brand new 2015 Nissan Murano. Putting the tiny tie wraps on took more time than anything. I wish the trailer lead plugged into the module l so one could easily route wire to remain outside the vehicle. But if you don't tow all the time it is not a big deal.
The installation of the 75952 receiver took about 20 minutes. I used my motorcycle jack to raise receiver into proximity position then caught a bolt on each side so I could remove jack. Good thing I still had my torque wrench and kreeper from my racing days. You can rent or borrow a torque wrench at A******* A*** if you don't have one.
I did back my car up on a couple Rhino ramps to give me plenty of room to work. Overall I am very pleased with this product and installation. I saved $245 by buying from etrailer and installing myself. I had 2 other hitches including another Murano installed and I am kicking myself I did not do this before.
With the money I saved I can put new tires on my Goldwing! :) Great Job etrailer!!
