Question:

2026 kia sorento hybrid x-line sx prestige does the C34FR73HY do the same thing as the Kia Tow wiring harness? I am not sure if the Kia harness affects any of the rear sensors when towing a trailer, but does the Curt harness do anything? The vehicle is pre wired for towing but needs the harness from the connector to the trailer.

Thanks for the information Brian. The Curt Trailer Wiring Harness item # C34FR73HY does not do the same thing as the factory one or connect in the same place. This harness is custom fit for your 2026 Kia Sorento Hybrid X-Line SX Prestige.

The Curt Trailer Wiring Harness item # C34FR73HY is going to plug in behind your Kia's rear tail lights. It connects directly to the factory wiring harness where it receives the signals to send to the 4-Way connector. It does not interact with your Kia's computer or any of the backup sensors.

I recommended using the Mounting Bracket for 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # C42CR and item # C83DR to attach the Curt item # C34FR73HY to the crossbar of your Kia's hitch. These brackets do not require drilling and will put your 4-way connector in a safe convenient spot where it won't be damaged.
