Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Dometic 411 tan low profile round bowl RV toilet. So if you're looking for a reliable RV toilet for part-time living or longer camping trips, this one's really gonna be a solid option for you to consider. This is designed specifically for your RV bathroom, especially ones with a raised toilet platform, thanks to its low profile height. So this is going to fit comfortably without feeling bulky or awkward in smaller spaces.
And before we go any further, let me go ahead and give you some measurements just so you have a good idea of the size and you can be confident that this is going to fit in your space. So I want to begin by giving you the overall height. So I'm gonna be measuring from the floor to the tallest point here. So that's gonna be the back of the lid. So it looks like we're pretty close to 15 and 1/4 inches.
I also like to give the measurement from the floor to the seat as best as I can. And I'm gonna say it's slightly over 13 and 1/2 inches right around there. Looking at the length, let me go ahead and close my lid. This might be kind of tricky, but I'll try to do what I can here. I'm gonna call that length about 17 and 3/4 inches.
And then the width, right at about, lining that up there at the widest point, right at about 15 inches. Overall, this weighs about 27 pounds, so this is solid and sturdy without being overly heavy. It's gonna be easy to maneuver this, to get this into place, to get it installed. One of the nice everyday features is it's slow close seat and lids. So going back out to wide view here, I'm just gonna bring these both up and then begin to push it down like that.
So as you can see, this is going to lower slow and quiet, which is gonna be great in those tight RV quarters. The bowl itself is made of ceramic, so it's gonna feel more like a residential toilet. It's going to be durable and long lasting. And the base is gonna be polypropylene as well as the seat and the lid. So relatively lightweight but definitely going to be sturdy and you're gonna feel it's going to feel more like home because of that ceramic bowl, and it's gonna be easier to clean as well. Now when it comes to performance, this is going to do a really great job of rinsing. Let me give you an overhead look here just so you get a brief look inside the bowl. And what this has is a pressurized water that's going to flow around the entire bowl. I think you can see those jets around the perimeter, the inside perimeter of the bowl. So that's going to give you a clean, thorough flush. The foot pedal system is going to make it simple to operate. You're gonna press it halfway to add water to the bowl before use, and then you'll press it all the way for about one to two seconds to flush everything away. You can see the valve at the bottom opening there as I'm operating the foot pedal insulation should be pretty straightforward as well. It's gonna use a simple gravity flush design. It's gonna install directly above your RV's black water tank. It has a standard two bolt setup. So again, this is going to fit most existing RV floor flanges without complicated modifications. So you get the hardware here, then the caps that'll be in place there after you have this installed in place. Overall, this is gonna be a great upgrade if you want something that's gonna feel more like a home toilet while still being designed specifically for RV use. Instructions are included as well.
