Getting ready to tow shouldn’t require wrestling heavy bars or snapping tension arms into place. The SwayPro’s rotating lift brackets let you slip the chain into the slot and use the included wrench to rotate until the lock pin engages—no muscle strain, no noise. The hitch head arrives with the correct pitch preset, so you only adjust the height on the 13-inch shank to match your setup. Installation is quick and straightforward, often done in about an hour.
Every component of the BXW1006 is built for long-term dependability. The trunnion-style spring bars lock solidly into the head with pins and clips, keeping motion tight and silent. Grease zerks inside the head assembly make maintenance clean and easy. The powder-coated steel resists corrosion and holds up through years of towing. Different trailers often need different hitch heights. The included adjustable shank offers up to 13 inches of rise or 7 inches of drop with holes spaced 1-1/4" apart on center, giving you precise control to keep your trailer level. The product is exactly what was described. Assembly and installation was easy. All parts worked perfectly. The only reason for 4 stars is that the packaging was inappropriate. Box was literally falling apart. Delivery person could barely get it to the house as parts were beginning to fall out. Thankfully nothing was missing, but packaging for shipping needs improvement.
Would recommend better shipping box. The product is very heavy and requires more care in packing and shipping. Customer Service was great and replaced the missing Hitch Wrench.

Tonight towing my 30ft travel trailer and
It worked flawlessly no sway smoother ride very happy.
Using it on a RAM 2500 towing a 8000 pound 25 ft Airstream. No sway at all. I like the simplicity and ease of tensioning sway bars. Paint finish could be more durable and mine has rusted, but functionality is not impacted. Would recommend.
Works pretty well. The hitch ball mount sticks out pretty far in the receiver, so some of you might expect to need longer safety chains.
Had to replace this hitch due to ineffective sway control. Although, some issue may have been with a new lightweight trailer with low hitch weight.
I really like the hitch as far as function and design. My only complaint about it is when spending almost $800 dollars for a piece of equipment you would think it would at least come powder coated rather than painted over poorly/un-prepped metal. The paint is flaking off tow bars in multiple locations and you can see it was never properly adhered. However this is still a mostly cosmetic concern and I am still very pleased overall with the hitch so I still gave it four stars.
Used it for a year now and no issues. Much easier to use and works much better than the Anderson hitch I replaced with this. Load distribution works well.

This set-up is great for a lifted pickup. The BXW gave us the right amount of adjustment for our lifted Dodge 2500!

I’m not very happy with my purchase. The weight distribution hitch I purchased does not fit on my trailer. There is a welded support bracket right where the hitch bracket is supposed to go 29 inches back on my trailer. Can the bracket go further back or does it need to go right above the chain? I’ve attached a photo of my issue.

Yes this blue ox weight distribution system part # BXW1006 does require the brackets to be positioned 29 inches from the hitch ball. Since you have a support bar where the bracket does need to be positioned this weight distribution system will not work for your trailer. I recommend the equalizer system part # EQ37100ET. The sway control brackets on the equalizer system can be positioned 27 inches to 32 inches back from the coupler. It handles tongue weight from 700 to 900 pounds and will still allow for backing up. It also includes the 2 5/16 inch ball and shank.

Everything was in great condition, was missing a couple nuts and the wrench to turn and lock the chains in place. Just used an adjustable wrench and went and bought a couple nuts from a hardware store.
This WD system is so easy to install (compared to Reese Strait Line With Dual Cams). Had a little problem cranking the rotating bracket until I realized the chain had to go on the other side...then easily locked in place. Only have had it out on one trip and it seemed like a smooth ride. Maybe on the way home we'll have a large vehicle go by to see if the trailer sways at all. Heavy duty parts.
