Video Transcript for Review of Dometic RV Toilets - 411 White Ceramic Low Profile RV Toilet - DMC74JF

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Dometic 411 White Ceramic Low Profile RV Toilet. Now, this RV toilet is gonna be a really good option for you to consider if you're doing part-time RV living or taking longer camping trips. This is built with RV bathrooms in mind, especially ones that have raised toilet platforms, since the low-profile design is gonna help it fit comfortably without feeling awkward or too tall. Now, this does come in white, as you can see. And let me go ahead and give you some measurements right off the top here, just so you can be confident this is going to work for you.

So I'm gonna try to give you the height measurement here, right at about the tallest point. And we're sitting right at about 15 1/2 inches tall. And then, just measuring to the seat. I wanna say right at about 14 inches or so. And then, the overall length might be kinda tricky to show you.

Let me see if I can line that up to where you can see it. Maybe right at about, about 17 3/4 inches long. It's kind of skewed differently because of the camera and the way that I have it tilted. Yeah, about 17 1/2 to 17 3/4 inches tall, if you can see that. And then, the width.

Overall, about 15 inches wide it looks like, taking into account the widest portion here as well. So hopefully, those measurements will be helpful for you. So this should fit pretty well in most RV bathrooms without taking up a whole lot of extra space. The bowl itself is ceramic. And that's nice, because it's durable, it's easy to clean, it's gonna feel more like a home toilet than a plastic one.

The seat and the base are gonna be made from lightweight polypropylene, so it's gonna stay sturdy without adding unnecessary weight to your rig. Overall, this weighs about 27 pounds or so. So that's reasonable for an RV upgrade. Using it is going to be pretty simple. So your hands are gonna stay free, this does have a foot pedal flush. So if you press the pedal halfway, that's going to fill the bowl with water before use. And then, when you push it all the way down for a second or two, that's gonna flush everything away. The gravity-flush design is going to install directly over your blackwater tank, so there's no complicated plumbing involved. Water is pressurized to rinse around the entire bowl. And let me go ahead and give you an overhead view here, just so you can get a view of the inside. So you do have, I don't know if you can see that, but we do have these jets all around the perimeter of the bowl. So that's gonna help keep things clean after each flush. One small, but nice touch is the slow-close lid, I do like this. So the lid is going to shut quietly instead of slamming, which is especially appreciated in those tight RV spaces. So you can see it's got a really nice slow motion there. Let me go up to my wide view there. So you especially won't have to worry about kids slamming the seat and the lid down like in the middle of the night, maybe waking everybody up. This is going to be a pretty straightforward installation as well with the standard two-bolt setup, so that's going to fit most existing floor flanges. Just wanted to show you this as well. So overall, this is gonna be a practical, durable toilet that's going to feel familiar, and I think it's gonna work pretty reliably for you for extended times on the road. Instructions are gonna be included. You also get hardware and the caps to put over the hardware when everything is installed. But if you happen to have any other questions, whether it's about this toilet or anything else that we have here at etrailer, don't hesitate to reach out, 'cause ultimately, we do wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, again, my name is Andy. Thanks for joining me.
