Hey Dale, this is a great question but while the ComeUp UW-5000si Trailer Winch # CU645010 and the part # CU644501 are pretty similar they have notable differences. First being that the 5000 has more weight capacity at 5,000 lb vs. 4,500 lb, it operates quicker under max load at 2 feet per minute compared to 1.3 feet per minute and it comes with a wireless remote for operation whereas the 4500 has a wired remote.

For a jet boat either will have the needed capacity so it really comes down to do you want a wired remote or a wireless one. On a boat trailer I would rather have a wireless remote so that would be what I would go with since trying to keep a wired remote out of the water would get annoying. Which Yamaha jet boat do you have?

Jameson, can you please give me a ballpark idea as to the cost of making the needed modifications to my trailer for the UW5000si winch along with wiring it to my truck battery. I'd also would like to get an idea as to how the power to the winch would connect to the truck?

@DaleS Does the trailer already have a winch mount on it? It should and due to that it really shouldn't require any modification aside from just bolting the winch to the mount.

@JamesonC Where are you located? I do think because of the design of my trailer that it won't be that simple. I hope I'm wrong.
