Long story short, that's not going to work for you even with a double line pull using a snatch block like the # CU881079. In reality, you need at least 1.5x the GVWR of your vehicle when it comes to winch capacity. The # BDW10044 I mentioned as a better choice would be the bare minimum you'd be able to get away with and still be able to recover your 2019 Nissan Frontier from a situation that required a winch. Yes, the Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch # BDW15019 which has a 4,400 lb capacity would easily be able to pull a 3,000 racecar on to a trailer. I attached a chart that covers how winch ratings and ramp angles affect each other and you'll see that a 4,400 lb winch would easily be able to pull a 3,000 lb car into it. view full answer...
We can help you with an electric winch and wiring kit for installation on the tongue of your tilt-bed car hauler trailer.
Winches, like jacks, are best selected with a healthy safety margin in their weight capacity. For example, for an actual need of 1000-lbs using a jack or winch rated for let's say twice that will offer benefits such as reduced wear and improved reliability. Often a product used well below its maximum capacity will tend to last longer.
A rolling item like a disabled... view full answer...
None of the Dutton Lainson winches like the part # DL24872 that you referenced have close to that length of wire rope and are not able to support that additional length due to the size of the drum and the strength rating of the winch.
If you can get by with close to that length, the best recommendation I can give you is the Bulldog Winch Utility Winch # BDW10004 which has 85 feet of cable. To get past the 90 feet of cable if you absolutely need that length you would need the Bulldog... view full answer...
If your trailer has a winch mounting plate on it already the Superwinch Tiger Shark part # SW1595200 would easily mount to it and work well. The roller fairlead you see in the pictures does mount to the front of the winch. view full answer...
For your application, I recommend the Bulldog Winch Heavy-Duty Series Off-Road Winch - Wire Rope - Roller Fairlead - 15,000 lbs, # BDW10012. This has a strong 7.2 HP series wound motor. It has a free-spooling clutch that ensures fast rope payout and rudeces wear on the motor, but it also has an automatic racheting pawl brake.
The Heavy-Duty Series winch ratcheting-pawl brake prevents unintentional rope payout. This brake - located inside the gearbox - is constructed of 2 spring-loaded... view full answer...
The Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch # BDW10039 has a weight capacity of up to 12,000 pounds and has rope dimensions of 90 feet by 3/8 inches. There is a steel mounting plate and hardware included to let you mount winch and fairlead to trailer deck or frame.
To install, you can bolt the included plate onto the deck of your trailer and attach the winch and fairlead. Counter-sunk bolt holes in the mounting plate ensure that the hex heads of the included bolts don't protrude above the trailer's... view full answer...
The wiring that feeds the 12-volt accessory circuit on the 7-way trailer connector is of too small a gauge to allow enough power to pass through to run a winch. The main function of that circuit would be for lighter-duty applications, such as providing power for interior trailer lights or to maintain a trailer mounted battery.
The Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch - Wire Rope - Roller Fairlead - 4,400 lbs, # BDW15019, will require some power as it draws 28 amps at 0 lbs but 340 amps at full... view full answer...
There are a few things you will need to consider when determining which kit to purchase. The size of the winch and the length of cable you will need are two factors that you will need to now before purchasing. We carry both Bulldog and Superwinch winch cable wiring kits that will work on both of your vehicles, but all the kits are not the same.
Both Bulldog and Superwinch use different gauge cables for their kits. The larger your winch's pull capacity that you want to install, the larger... view full answer...
For a cost-effective powered car trailer winch you can consider the Bulldog Winch # BDW15019 which includes a roller fairlead and wire rope. This winch offers a 2-minute duty cycle (15 minutes of cool down time is required between cycles) and with a 4400-lb load it will draw 340-amps. Your 3000-lb rolling load will of course require less power. At maximum load its speed is 4-1/2-feet per minute. The free-spooling clutch means you don't have to use up battery power to extend the wire rope;... view full answer...
The mounting bolt pattern for the Superwinch LT2000 Electric Utility Winch, # 1120210, is two holes, 3.15 inches apart.
This winch can be mounted in place of a manual winch and my contact at Superwinch assured me that the unit is waterproof so you should have no problem when using this on your boat trailer.
Please keep in mind that the Superwinch LT2000 Electric Utility Winch, # 1120210, has a line pull capacity of 2,000 pounds. view full answer...
Since the Buffalo Tools Hoist is meant to lift and lower objects straight up or down, you'll need to use the included pulley block and mount it on the wall or ceiling above where the trailer sits. The hoist would mount on the ceiling so that the spool faces the pulley.
I'd recommend installing a sturdy eye bolt or other fastener to the top edge of the trailer. This will be the attachment point on the trailer for the hoist.
Since the trailer will be rubbing against the wall as it's... view full answer...
We have a great powered hoist solution that has the capacity you'd need for your up to 300 lb camper shell with the Buffalo Tools Electric Hoist # BTEHOISTUL. The winch you referenced though is not rated for lifting anything off the ground and suspending it. view full answer...
The Bulldog Winch part # BDW10031 would be a great winch for your application. You would want to center the drum with the center of your trailer so that when pulling the vehicle onto the trailer it would be pulling it straight and not to the side.
Having the winch in the very front of the trailer would not be a problem either. That's generally where most people mount winches. The cable is 47-1/2 feet long so that wouldn't be an issue at all. view full answer...
What I recommend is the Bulldog winch # BDW15019. With it you are able to add the wireless remote, # BDW20212 sold separately, to operate the winch from up to 100 feet away. The winch does have a free spool mode so you can pull the line out quickly. I have linked a video review of this winch for you. I have also linked a video of the remote. view full answer...
I would recommend a winch with a larger capacity than the Superwinch LT2000 Electric Utility Winch, # 1120210, that you referenced. A winch with a higher capacity is better than a getting one only to find out later that 2,000 pounds is not enough.
I recommend going with the Bulldog winch, # BDW15017. It has a 3,400 pound capacity. You have to take into account the angle of your 22 foot car hauler as that will affect the load capacity.
The best place to mount the winch is in a spot... view full answer...
For an electric winch like the Bulldog Winch Standard Series Off-Road Winch # BDW10043, you can use a receiver mount like the Bulldog Winch Receiver Mount Kit - 2" x 2" # BDW20155. This makes location easy and you can absolutely add the quick connect wiring like you mentioned.
For a 7-1/2 foot long option, use # BDW20205.
For a 16 foot long option, use # BDW20043.
For a 24 foot long option, use # BDW20026.

I spoke with my contact at Superwinch and you will need the Replacement UT3000 Control Box, # SW87-17428, to fix your winch. This complete assembly includes both the in and out relays. view full answer...
You can put a battery inside the trailer but you would want to place it in a box of some kind since batteries have gases and chemicals in them. We have different battery boxes depending on the size you will need. I have included a link to them for you.
You can run a wire to get a maintenance charge via the 12 volt circuit in the trailer wiring. However, it will not charge up the battery. The wiring is too small and most vehicle alternators are not strong enough to push back the amperage... view full answer...

Yes, since the vehicles you would be winching on your car hauler are a rolling load a winch like the part # SW1145220 which has a 4,500 lb capacity would work well. Even if you ramps had a 60 percent angled ramp this winch could pull up to 7,488 lbs. view full answer...
On your trailer if you can bolt winch # 1120210 directly to that front frame structure then that would be ideal. If you want it on the diamond plate you will want to use a steel backing plate that is also bolted to that front frame structure. That will provide enough support for the winch. I am not sure what you mean by a down or forward bracket.
An 18 amp hour battery just won't be enough; even for light duty winches. Also, the winch should not use the breakaway battery. The breakaway... view full answer...
I called my contacts at our winch suppliers to see if there were any winches available that perform as you requested. I was unable to find a winch that had an auto shutoff when the winch senses a trailer door is closed since winches constantly feel resistance. They did agree it was a great idea but it would require a spring loaded trigger button to stop power to the winch which they currently don't make. I'm sure with a little engineering you could make something like # LC379388 work.
