What Yakima Bike Rack Will Give Me the Most Access to My Rear Cargo Hatch?

I got a Curt hitch from you for my 2022 Toyota Venza and now am looking for the 2 bike hitch bike rack. My question is if the Yakima StepUp Y54MX and/or the StepUp Swing Away Y22RX will work with the Venza. I couldnt find a video for Yakima, only the Hollywood. One of our bikes is a step through frame with 3 tires and a fatter frame.

Hi Jackie,
The Yakima StepUp Bike Rack part # Y54MX has a three-position tilting mechanism that allows the rack to be tilted away from the vehicle even with bikes loaded. You should be able to open the rear hatch of your 2022 Toyota Venza with the rack tilted away, but if you have larger bikes that you're carrying you may not be able to fully open the hatch.
The Yakima StepUp SwingAway part # Y22RX would be a better option, because the rack is fully moved away from the rear cargo hatch so there's no need to worry about clearance with any bikes loaded. It's also easier to reach into the hatch to get anything you might need since you won't have to lean or bend around the tilted bike rack to get whatever item you need. The Yakima StepUp SwingAway part # Y22RX has a weight capacity of 65lbs per bike, fits tire up to 4 1/2" wide and uses platform wheel mounts so it can fit your wide tire bike and step through bike without any adapter needed!
