Question:

They have a 2020 Winnebago Travato KL, national park edition with the factory install Kurt trailer hitch, 3500 pound towing capacity 350 lbs you be weight, 2inch. I had purchased a Thule T2 Pro XTR and a Kuat Pivot to use for two bikes, each way in about 50 pounds. I had done a lot of research, but I obviously failed to get the correct combination as I read that these two products will not work with my rig. The more I read the more confusing yet. Working with AI it recommends that I purchase the 1UP USA Super Duty and the Owl Outdoors RakAttach Hitch Swing-Out as the correct option for my rig. I’ve spent so many hours researching this and I am very confused. If you could confirm that these two products would work for my rig together with my two e-bikes I will purchase them and just write off the purchase of the other two products.

So in your case, absolutely do not trust AI. It's basically just taking what will kind of work for most people and applying it to your situation. However, your situation is much more unique than the typical person looking for a swing away adapter. One thing AI doesn't always mention (that is extremely important) is that using a swing away adapter will lower your hitch's tongue weight by 50% (Owl Outdoors also fails to mention this and that makes me highly suspect of their product). So when you use something like this, that 350 pounds of tongue weight capacity is actually 175 pounds of tongue weight capacity.

If at all possible, you will want a rack that has that swing away feature pre-installed on the rack as it will not affect the tongue weight like an add on adapter will. We have two of those and I have them listed below:

The Yakima rack is technically nicer, but it is only rated up to 43.5 lbs per bike when used on an RV. If your e-bikes weigh in at 50 pounds with the batteries removed, then the Yakima isn't going to be the option for you. The RockyMounts, on the other hand, is rated up to 60 lbs per bike no matter what it's installed on. It has a few less features than the Yakima, but it's still a very nice rack and probably the one I would go with in your case.

The only thing you really need to note with the RockyMounts rack is that the shank isn't as long as the Yakima rack. If one of your e-bikes has narrower handlebars than the other, that will be the one you want to mount first. I found some pictures of the hitch installed on your 2020 Winnebago Travato KL and it didn't look super recessed or anything, but it is something to be aware of.

Not to muddy the water any more than it already is, but if that 50 lbs per bike is indeed with the batteries still on, you may be able to use the Thule Elite Van XT 2 Bike Rack for Ram ProMaster Rear Door # TH302013. You would need to remove the batteries before putting the bikes on this as it has 42 lbs of capacity per bike, but it would completely get away from using the hitch. It would also be very high up (see included image), so it isn't the easiest rack to load bikes on. Still figured I would mention it though.

The rocky mounts is killer sturdy construction and easy use for my two cross/hybrid bikes. Worth every penny. Weight is not an issue for me, so I can’t speak to that issue for you.
