Hi Dan,

It's a common issue we see when installing a flatbed on that generation of Ram trucks. The truck's Body Control Module (BCM) monitors the draw of the taillights and when they're replaced (especially with LEDs) the BCM thinks a bulb has burned out because it's seeing less current than expected. First thing I'd do is double check that it's wired in correctly and has a good ground. If the new lights are LEDs, then installing a load resistor kit like the Diamond Load Resistor Kit for LED Turn Signals part # DI34ZR will simulate the electrical load of the factory incandescent bulbs and often clears the warning.

What brand of flatbed did you have installed on your truck?

@Dan There are instructions that come with the kit. If for some reason they don't I've linked an instruction video from their website for you.
