Can Buyers Products 5/8" Forged D-Ring With Mounting Bracket # 337B40MP Work on Steel Deck Trailer

Question:

Can this be used on a steel deck car hauler? Will be hauling classic Chevy truck app 3800-4000 lbs. if so how should it be installed and should I upgrade the hardware?

Hey Garry, yes the Buyers Products 5/8" Forged D-Ring With 4-Hole Integral Mounting Bracket # 337B40MP that you referenced can be used on a steel deck car hauler and would work great for transporting a 4,000 lb Chevy truck. The hardware that comes with it would work just fine so I would just use it. Drill holes in the deck and then mount the brackets on the other side and you'd be set. What kind of truck do you have? I wish we had ability to upload pictures in comments as I'm sure it's really nice!

Installed on 22ft steel deck trailer and haul diesel 3/4 ton cc trucks with no problem

Garry - Yes. I mounted mine on a wooden trailer deck and made sure to connect to a steel support cross member underneath the wooden deck for additional secure attachment.
