The drawbars, or front arms, on the crossbar-style series base plate kit are supremely easy to mount and remove. Just insert them into the brackets and twist to lock them in place. To remove, simply twist the arms back and pull them out. Once the drawbars have been removed, the remaining brackets are virtually invisible. On most automobiles, the brackets are mounted within the grille, where they remain not only unseen, but protected from scrapes and scuffs, as well.

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2009 or 2010 Honda CR-V
To flat tow your 2010 Honda CR-V you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and most likely a high-low adapter. I recommend going with the Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit # RM-521559-4. This will work great with the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520 and the RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643 which are both rated for 6,000 lbs. For your vehicle tow bar wiring I highly recommend the Roadmaster Diode...

  • Connecting Roadmaster 1559-1 Base Plates with Missing Weldments to Blue Ox Tow Bar
I reached out to my contact at Roadmaster and he said that the Replacement Driver Side Arm C001477 will not fit your existing Roadmaster 1559-1 base plates. He said that the weldments for your particular base plate kit are no longer available so your only real option at this point is to replace the entire kit. If you were to go with another Roadmaster Base Plate Kit like part # RM-521559-4, which is confirmed to fit your 2007 Honda CR-V, you would still need to add the Adapter # RM-032...

  • Replacement Tow Bar to Flat Tow a 2007 Honda CR-V with Roadmaster Base Plates
Wow, that's pretty crazy. I'd consider myself pretty lucky if I had a near-miss from a falling Redwood and only had damage to the tow bar. There's definitely a question there. You're looking for an easier to use tow bar to replace the Stowmaster, part # RM-501, that was damaged. You also need to make sure it fits the base plate kit already on your 2007 Honda CR-V. The base plates you have are likely the EZ4 kit, part # RM-521559-4, that works with the Stowmaster. For a hitch mount...

  • Base Plate Kit for 2011 Honda CR-V Using Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar
Hi Allen; your Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar # RM-501 fits crossbar-style base plate kits. You need the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # RM-521559-4 for your 2011 Honda CR-V. For a complete setup you will also need safety cables, tow bar wiring, and a supplemental brake system. I recommend the following: -RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables - 6,000 lbs # RM-643 -Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-15267 -Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 1999 or 2011 Honda CR-V Behind a Motor Home
I am a little confused because you entered 2011 Honda CR-V for vehicle information and typed it in the title field but the question is on a 1999 Honda CR-V. If you have a 1999 then base plates # RM-521559-4 will not fit. You need # 1528-3. For either set of base plates they are compatible with the Stowmaster tow bar you have. I have included a link showing installation of the 1528-3 base plates for you to view. You will also need safety cables if you do not already have some. I like cables...

  • Can a 2008 Honda CR-V be flat Towed Behind and RV Using a Tow Ready/Reese Tow Bar 63180
I would actually advise against using Tow Ready tow bar # 63180 for a couple of reasons. First, this tow bar is rated for a maximum of 45 miles per hour which is fine for short hops around town but useless for highway use. And second there are base plates required, # 40602, but they are going to require major modifications to the bumper and need to be reinforced so professional installation is recommended. The other option is to use custom base plates # RM-521559-4 with an adapter # RM-025...

Instead of using Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-521559-5, you will want a quick disconnect option like Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-521559-4. This is compatible with Roadmaster EZ Hook Safety Cable Anchors (1 Pair) # RM-910653 and Roadmaster EZ Hook Replacement Safety Cable - 64" Long - 8,000 lbs # RM-910650. To tow your 2011 Honda CR-V 4-wheel drive with your 2008 Jayco Class C 35 ft motor home, you will need base plates, a tow bar, safety cables, wiring or lighting, and a supplemental braking system. The Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit, part # RM-521559-4, is a good option for base plates for your CR-V. • Correct Base Plates for 2007 Honda CR-V With StowMaster Tow Bar
I believe you are speaking of the Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar # RM-501, as the Stowaway # RM-4000-40 is a storage system which slides over a tow bar. In order to use your StowMaster you would need the Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit # RM-521559-4, which is confirmed to work with that tow bar and will allow you to use the quick disconnect system. That system features brackets on the StowMaster and EZ4 plates which line up and are held in place with the pins that you referenced.

  • Recommended Towing Components For 2007 Honda CR-V 4WD Behind Motorhome
From my research of the owner's manual for your 2007 Honda CR-V it is stated that the vehicle must be towed with all 4 wheels on the ground to avoid damage to the 4WD transmission. I do have other options for towing your CR-V. I recommend flat-towing your Honda behind your motorhome. For flat-towing there are 5 items that are needed. You will need base plates for the CR-V, a tow bar, safety cables, lights for the towed vehicle, and most states now require a supplemental brake system....

The Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit part # RM-521559-5 and Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit part # RM-521559-4 are both fits for a 2010 Honda CR-V. The main difference between the two is that the Direct-Connect style connects directly to a tow bar like the Roadmaster Nighthawk part # RM-676. The Crossbar-Style connect to a crossbar and then to a tow bar like the Roadmaster BlackHawk 2 part # RM-422. I prefer the Direct-Connect as there is less to connect each time and...
