Will the Lippert Equa-Flex LC279687 Replace My Older Yellow Equa-Flex Equalizer?

Updated 07/10/2026 | Published 07/06/2026

Question:

I currently have the lippert equiflex suspension with the yellow equalizer. One of the equalizers are cracked. I have heard they are no longer made. Do I need to convert my suspension over to the newer style? If so, does the new stuff work with my old springs and frame connection points?

Happy to help Scott, thanks for reaching out!

The good news is you won't need to replace your entire suspension. The Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC279687 are the updated replacement for the older yellow Equa-Flex equalizers. As long as the dimensions match your current equalizers, they'll work with your existing leaf springs and suspension hangers, so there's no need to replace your springs.

To make sure the new Equa-Flex Equalizers are the correct fit, you'll want to measure your current equalizer.

The center to center distance between the two lower bolt holes.
The center to center distance from the upper bolt hole to each lower bolt hole.

If you need, I'll be happy to confirm the correct replacement.

What do you typically haul with this trailer?

Hi James, I actually reached out to lippert and ordered them along with the bushings and upgraded wet bolts. Thanks for getting back to me - Scott
