RV AC Unit Softstart Recommendation for Dometic RV AC Unit

Question:

Regarding the SoftStart on Dometic ACs. We’ve got a single zoneducted unit, MFG:B57915.711C0, 13.5 btu on our 2015 Keystone Bullet. What SoftStart would be applicable for this AC? Take care. Ray

Hey Ray, we have great options for Softstarts for your Dometic RV AC unit but the correct kit depends on the power supply you have for your RV. If you have a 30 amp setup you would want the part # AS57FR or if you have a 50 amp the part # AS84FR. Both of these have surge protection built in as well. What amperage are you running and do you ever run on a generator?

30 Amp service. I will run a generator if necessary. But mostly it’s shore power with an in-line surge protector.
