B&W Turnoverball Hitch Rear Shock Clearance for a 2026 Ford F250

Updated 07/02/2026 | Published 06/28/2026

Question:

I have a 2026 f250 and I am looking at a bandw turnover ball gooseneck hitch for it. I have heard that the newer bandw hitches have a modified bracket where I can more easily change out the rear shocks with ease compared to the older models of the hitch. If true, is the model hitch you sell have the newer version. My older truck was a 2019 f250 and I had to partially take the hitch apart so I could change the shock out. Thanks for your help.

Great question. I checked directly with B&W, and they confirmed that the Turnoverball hitch for your 2026 F250 part # BW73FR does not interfere with the shocks like in the past. They have not had any concerns with rear shock replacement on this model, so you will not run into the same issue you experienced with your 2019. They also mentioned that the older GNRK1116 hitch used on 2017 through 2022 Super Duty trucks has been revised as well but there was issues in the past, which explains your previous experience.

B&W is one of the brands we recommend most often because of its excellent build quality, straightforward installation, and outstanding customer support. The Turnoverball is a proven hitch that's built to last and provides a clean factory style look when the ball is removed.

Just out of curiosity, what do you plan on towing with your F250, equipment, livestock, or a fifth wheel?
