Are Inner Brackets of B and W Gooseneck Hitch Needed When Installing In 2026 Ford Truck

Question:
I am having an issue. There seems to be a cleance issue with a bracket in the way of the inner side plate on the install instructions is said: 3. locate the outer, and if needed the inner side plate. Do I need to have the inner side plate installed? I included a pic.

Hey Chris, in the instructions for the B and W Turnoverball gooseneck hitch part # BW73FR that you referenced it says that the inner brackets are not needed if the truck has the inner brackets for the OEM hitch already welded to the truck frame. In the picture you submitted I see the inner frame brackets that would normally be used to install the OEM gooseneck hitch so you are good to use just the outer brackets.

My 2024 F250 FX4 had the factory plates, so I wound up with two plates I didn't use. One from each side. It was pretty obvious in my opinion.
