Hey John,

To replace the 14,500 BTU Furrion air conditioning unit on your camper, you will need a unit and an air distribution box, and if your air distribution box is not manually controlled (i.e. you have high ceilings), you will also need a thermostat. We have all of these parts in a kit like, Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Multi Zone - 15,000 Btu - White - R32 # FR73TD. Instead of that one, you can also go with Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution Box - Non Ducted - 18,000 Btu - White # FR59TD, which is my recommendation. This kit is rated at 18,000 BTUs and is actually quieter and draws fewer amps than the 15,000 BTU unit.

I do see that you already purchased the air conditioner unit, Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Roof Air Conditioner Unit - 15,000 Btu - White - R32 # FR86TD. To go with that, you'll need the following parts:

Air Distribution Box - Replacement Air Distribution Box for Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioners - Electric Control - R32 # FR68TD
Wall Thermostat - Replacement Wall Thermostat for Furrion Chill HE RV AC - Multi Zone - Black - R32 # FR78TD
MultiZone Controller (if using multiple units with the same thermostat - Replacement Multi Zone Controller for Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner Setup - R32 # FR53TD

If you instead need a manual distribution box, Replacement Air Distribution Box for Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioners - Manual - R32 # FR93TD will be the option to go with and you won't need a thermostat or multizone controller. It should be noted that all of these parts are compatible with a Furrion Chill or Chill HE system, but not the Chill Cube.

What made your last AC unit "bad?" Was it malfunctioning, not cooling enough for you, or something else?

Thank you… the 14,500 I am pulling is mounted to a ducted system, with two other units. Each unit has its own Furrion thermostat. As I understood from Furrion this unit would be a direct drop in replacement for what I am pulling out and I did not to change anything. The unit is mounted on a 2021 GD Momentum G320. Thanks John

@JohnD If you have a unit with R410A refrigerant (which is likely if your 14,500 BTU AC was the OEM AC unit), then it's possible it could work, but it's not a direct fit and there's no way to know for sure that it will. The way we explain it around the office, R410A and R32 units speak two different languages and there's no adapter that will translate one into the other so while there may be a way to power it on, it's not likely that it will be a long term solution. That's a big reason as to why we recommend going with a complete set.

Ok… I would really hate to ship this one back , just to order a complete kit. I can definitely understand the thermostat, but the distribution boxes look alike. I will order the box and thermostat.. If the box is indeed the same, I will send it back. Thanks John

@JohnD Buying the parts individually is actually the exact same as buying the kit. We have the kit on the site to make it easier on you. For the distribution box and thermostat, you can just order # FR68TD & # FR78TD and these will be 100% compatible with the unit you have.

As long as all the other voltage and information matches you are able to use the CBB65-R Capacitor #FR65FR in place of your C65-R. These are simply series information numbers which I have found both listed on the exact same capacitor.
