Solution For Needing Replacement Solenoid of Roadmaster Battery Disconnect for Towed Vehicle

Updated 06/27/2026 | Published 06/25/2026

Question:

I installed a Roadmaster Battery Disconnect RM-766 on my Colorado truck a couple of years ago. The solenoid seems to be failing…harder to reconnect after disconnecting. Can I purchase just the solenoid?

Hey Mark, Roadmaster does not offer us just the solenoid of the Roadmaster Battery Disconnect part # RM-766 so only solution would be to replace the entire kit and just use the solenoid of it. You might still try contacting Roadmaster directly though.

I would look for a Cole Hersee 200 amp, 600 amp surge, continuous duty, latching solenoid.
